Message from Owner

Please help us find our sweet boy, Indigo. He’s the most precious thing. Indoor/outdoor cat but doesn’t go far from our hse and is always on the patio in the morning. He wasn’t there Sunday morning, 10/18, and we haven’t seen him since. Indigo is our son’s cat who is at UT in Austin, and we unexpectedly became very attached and quite obsessed while keeping him for the last 9 months. If you’ve seen him or know if something happened to him, we would be so grateful for any information.

Put out food, water, and some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). because of the weather, you might want to put out a plastic tub with the blankets for shelter. Go out every morning and evening walking (folks seem successful around 10:30 p.m., but don't go alone) with food/treats in bowl rattling it, calling your cats name. Do NOT give up. There was a cat a week or so ago, they went out every night for 5 nights, finally on the 5th night, they heard it's meow, it was trapped in a neigbors shed. Another was hiding in a tree from the neighbor's dogs. Check buildings, bushes, trees, and storm drains around your house. Also in the house/garage, keep all doors/closets open in case it's hiding in the house. Put neon Lost Cats signs all over your neighborhood, give to vets, and the shelter. Also have magnets made of your lost cat sign and stick on your car. Contact the chip company if chipped. Post to Lost Cats facebook page, petfbi.org, nextdoor.com, and pawboost.com (ignore cost, do not put in credit card info, its free)

Thanks for the help everyone! Indigo is microchipped, so hopefully that helps with our efforts to find him as well!
