Message from Owner

This is my Tutu girl, (animal control had her listed as Tooto pet id A1431266). Back at the end of July, my kids and I were getting kicked out of town & country, when someone called animal control on me because our ride had not shown up yet, and it was hot out, and that meant my dogs were hot being outside. They had plenty of water, and I was wetting them down every 10-15 minutes. I had warrants and the person that showed up from animal control was like "I'm not leaving without your dogs. We can call metro if you want." Reluctantly, I gave up the dogs due to not knowing if my kids and I were going to have a place to stay that night. My kids and I ended up at Motel 6 that same night, and I been trying to find my dog Tutu ever since. I have contacted animal control and the only thing they will tell me is that a rescue came and got her. They won't tell me what rescue or even give me contact info for the rescue. I tried to explain to animal control that I was just waiting for money to come in through an apportionment from the VA, then my kids and I were moving to Colorado. Well, now the money has come, and we are leaving on Monday to Colorado. It would be the best thing ever to be able to take her with us. I've had Tutu since the day she was born, I saved her when she was stung by a scorpion, she has been my source of comfort, my companion and my little snuggle girl for the last 5 years. I lay awake at night searching through adoptable pets on every rescue sight I come across, and I've had absolutely no luck at all. I'm hoping, through this post, that someone with the rescue that has her will see it and help facilitate her return to me. Tutu is a one person girl, and I know I was, hopefully still am, her person. She loves me, almost as much as I love her, and man, I miss her goofy little self so very much. If anyone has her, or knows of the rescue that took her, please contact me ASAP, hopefully before Sunday, but if not, I have friends here who would take her in until I can get back here which would be the very same day. I know my Tutu is out there somewhere wondering why her mama left her, and when I'm coming back to get her. I would fly across country if that was what I had to do to get her back. Please help me bring my girl home with me. Thank you for reading this, and please help bring my girl home.

Caren Blevins it was indeed long. Hopefully the adopter is providing a good home. Always sad to see these situations, but I always hope for the best. If a rescue pulled, thank goodness, otherwise we know the worse outcomes.

Caren Blevins did you read the post? Animal control picked up and TAF has long since adopted out.

It's a fact that many lost pups end up close to home. Especially sweet, cute ones as people take them in. Walk your neighborhood for 3-4 blocks, knock on doors and leave pix. Call her name as you walk and she may answer from a yard. Hang flyers offering a reward and post on social networking sites including NextDoor, Ring and Pawboost. Leave an item of clothing or a shoe outside your house to guide your girl home. Leave flyers with local police and fire houses, groomers, doggy daycares, pet stores and your mail carrier since they see everything. Visit vets and leave photos. Someone may bring her in to be chip checked or for a wellness check. If you can, hire a helicopter ride and/or a drone to search from above. Reach out to local news (Fox 5) to share your pup. If she was picked up he is probably at animal foundation so go there NOW and to other shelters NOW and then daily. Don't wait for them to contact you! Reach out to rescues for help. Prayers for a fast, safe return. ♥️♥️
