Please try this, It works, I have done TNR and got my cat back after 2 wks doing this: Get humane trap, buy or get from shelter. Place by your home usually by wall, bush etc at Dusk. cover with towel, use Tuna as bait. Catch another cat, release and keep trying. Cats feel safer at night, have small range they go, and can smell Tuna a block awayRead More
FOR INDOOR CATS: Between the hours of 11pm-2am walk around your block calling his name and shaking his favorite treat bag. Make sure to take a carrier with you as he will be scared. Contact homes around your block that have SHEDS or GARAGES. Kitties will seek dark places to hide and could get locked in. It’s warmer now, and neighbors may not open their shed/garage daily/weekly trapping kitty with no food or water.Read More
Is he Microchipped? If so notify the company that he is missing and make sure your contact info is up to date. Blanket your neighborhood with big bright flyers and ask people to search garages and sheds and parked vehicles like RV'S and other places where he could have gotten trapped inside. Search with a flashlight to reflect eyes and a treat bag to shake and pop top cans of smelly food to pop open now and then. If he is not used to being outside then he is probably hunkered down hiding somewhere close by. Post on other places like Nextdoor and Craigslist and pawboost and lost petcolove org and Facebook lost and found pages but be aware of scammers targeting lost and found pages never give money up front to anyone who says they have your cat or can find him and never agree to meet anyone alone. Borrow a humane trap from a shelter like Hermitage or Pacc and set it up baited outside the exit where he escaped. Keep searching and spreading the word.Read More
