Message from Owner

🚨 LOST CAT – PLEASE HELP 🚨 My beloved cat has gone missing, and I’m desperately trying to find him. 💔 He is around 3 years old and he is black with a little white spot on his neck and lower belly. When the sun hits on his coat, he becomes like brown. His right ear is rounded and kind of chipped on the side, different from the left one. He disappeared from my home the 6th of august at night. I’ve searched everywhere and have been calling his name constantly, but I still haven’t found him. We followed all the tips and advice on how to try to get him to come back on his own and also by walking late at night and calling him. If you have seen him, think you may have spotted him, or have any information at all, please message me immediately. Even the smallest lead could help bring him home. Please check your garages, sheds, under decks, bushes, or anywhere a frightened cat might be hiding. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for sharing this post. It truly means the world to me. ❤️🐾

Ask your local mailman if they've seen your kitty or if they can keep an eye out.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. Here are some tips that helped me find my little guy when he got out. My kitty got out in the middle of winter for 11 days. I put flyers out everywhere and some very nice friends of a friend of mine saw my flyers and said he was living under their outside stairs. Flyers work. Also I was told to go out at night when it's quiet and call your kitty calmly. They are scared when outside even if it's your voice they hear so shouting or calling loudly isn't recommended. Also using a flashlight while looking in garages and bushes helps. Cats eyes glow when a light beams on them. Shaking treat bags can help too. Don't do a litterbox that can attract dangerous animals that could hurt Kitty. You can do a piece of dirty laundry of yours that they can be attached too. One more thing also is to get a humane trap from a local shelter and put the smelliest food inside. Believe it or not KFC chicken has helped attract cats more than any food lol. Also cameras can help also to see if your baby comes around when you're not home. I wish you the best of luck and hope. 💜💜💜💜🍀

Call and visit your shelters and pounds. Someone could have picked your baby up. Also they can note that your kitty is missing and if she is turned in they will call you. It also doesn't hurt to call them often just in case.

It’s always best to indicate the street names where he went missing.

Very important to put up flyers in and around the area (for people not on FB). Even place them inside mailboxes. These steps must be done right away and must be done everyday 🙏 Place a bit of his soiled litter outside, not the full litter box (sheltered from the rain, so not to get it wet). But leave it out only during the day, do not leave it outside when it gets dark and not overnight. It may attract other animals. You should also place a blanket or a piece of clothing with his scent on it outside as well. He may be able to smell his own scent and find his way home 🤞 Put out his food and a water bowl, in the same place everyday. You want him to stay close by. But don’t leave the food out when it’s dark, bring it back inside. If possible, leave an exit door or window opened so your cat can get back inside (while keeping other cats in the house safe in a closed room). You need to go out looking for him early mornings and late nights, calling his name and bring his favorite treats. He must be scared and hiding close by. But don’t walk too far from your home, you don’t want him to follow the sound of your voice and be that much further away from home. You want him to stay close by 🤞 Tell neighbors to look out for him, to check under and inside their sheds, garages, under balconies, etc… I would strongly suggest to ask your neighbours if you can go in their backyards and check for your cat yourself. Someone lost their cat and found her weeks later stuck inside a Cabano, not alive 😔 You should open a missing cat file with the Montreal SPCA and with ProAnima Montreal. If your cat is found and brought there, they will contact you. Also, join Petluck Group and post him on that group as well: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Petluck/?ref=share

Remplissez le formulaire pour animaux perdus ou trouvés sur le site internet de la SPCA et ils ouvriront un dossier pour l'animal. https://www.spca.com/perdus-et-trouves
