Description

Garnet is white with tan and calico mix colors on her back and tail. She has blue eyes. She was wearing a pink collar with tags and she is microchipped. She is very sweet but skiddish and may not go up to anyone. Please let us know if you spot her and we can arrange for a trap if needed. She is my son who has autism’s therapy cat. Please, if you have her, do the right thing and give her back to us. She is part of our family and we miss her so much!

Message from Owner

Please help us find our Princess Garnet. She is only an inside kitty and somehow she has escaped and is lost. She was a rescue from being a stray as a kitten. We have had her for 7 years and she is our baby girl. My son has autism and he would be really upset if we don’t find her.

Have neighbors check garages and sheds. Have a tree out back? Check that too. Leave your garage door up a little so they can return home to a familiar place. Place a box outside with blankets or even the clothes you wore today so a cat can pick up the scent and make it home. If you are new to this area, have friends keep an eye out at your former home. And please: CHECK THE LOCAL SHELTERS DAILY I hope your kitty makes it back home safe very soon. Please make sure to get your cat chipped once they return, and PLEASE keep them indoors! PLEASE NEVER LOSE HOPE! Male wanderers tend to stay within a territory of about 150 acres, while females stay closer to home, roaming only about 40 acres. This means that your average male cat is likely to stay within 1500 feet of home, while your average female tends not to go much farther than 75 yards from your door. Be careful of the lost pet finders. Most of them are playing on your emotions and wanting cash up front.!

Mairi Martin-Palefsky Thank you!! I know she’s such a pretty cat and has such a sweet disposition. A total Princess! That’s what got me when I first adopted her at the shelter. 🥰
