My previous advice is still the best I can offer you as a rescue/trapper. Hazel will hunker down and hide as much as possible. She has no territory and coming out into the open (yards with no trees or brush- open decks) will be her last choice - even her own back yard. She will stay where there is hiding and shelter available. You are offering her all the correct things on your property but if it is wide open- she will be reluctant to approach. I truly believe that you need to approach the two properties on Davison Road- which have”clutter” and density that frightened animals look for and utilize when hiding in fear. They may let you feed and set traps on their properties to catch her before too much more time has passed. She is hungry and will come for strong smelling food. If she is coming to the perimeters of the area properties- where there are trees and brush for her to hide- then giving her food, shelter and setting a trap at that perimeter is best. She has to seek shelter and warmth. I have insulated shelters that you can use on the perimeter if you want to utilize one of them so that she doesn’t have to go far to find that shelter- we have lower temps coming again in the next nights. She will be trying to come back… but open spaces and lack of familiar territory will inhibit her. You need to seek her hiding spots and set feeding sites, shelter and traps where she is because she seems to be too frightened to approach the open property where you have tried to set some things up. I have responded to your posts several times to offer my traps, my shelter- to try and retrieve your kitty. You needed to post fliers all around your subdivision and on Davison Road in front of Laurel Heights to help people watch for sightings of Hazel. There are two houses in front of yours subdivision- next to the VFW that offer hiding places for frightened -displaced cats. You need to go to those homes to see if they have seen her. Not everyone is on line or looks at Pawboost etc. Hazel needs you to post physical fliers with her picture- all around your area. You need to set traps asap with strong smelling food and an item of warn clothing or used towels so that she can pick up the scent- find the food- or seek the shelter to come home. Displaced cats hide and typically come out at dawn and dusk to try and find food or familiar smells.
