Our dog found a hole in the fence and slipped out. Southeast Baptist Tabernacle was letting out of their service at the time. Hoping someone there picked him up. Please let me know if you did. Approx. 6 lb male dachshund/min-pin/cocker spaniel mix. White and black. Not wearing his harness.

Kylie Frink, I had responded to this on a different post. I must have missed responding here. It's not him. 😕 Thank you, though.

Alyssa Ping LewisUnfortunately, I'm confident it's not him. That dog has a black snout, white on top of its head between the ears, black at the base of its tail, and pointy ears. My dog has a white snout, black on top of his head, an all white tail, and floppy ears. ☹️

Julie Duncan, very similar coloring, but it's not him. 😭 (This is my dog's back for comparison.) Thank you for sharing with me, though. I appreciate any help we can get.

Help find your dogs Do: Wait patiently at the scene for as long as possible. Stay put so your dog can come back following your scent. “Let the dog come back to you.” When you must go home, take a dirty sock, t-shirt, or underwear that has been close to your skin and place them outside of your home. This is another scent lure. Set up a “meat trap” using odorous meats. This is done based on investigative work. For example, after a neighbor saw your dog running up a hill, the meat and water would be placed at the foot of the hill. Broadcast that your dog is missing using social media, posters, and word of mouth. Ask people to report sightings rather than attempt to retrieve your dog. She will be frightened and run away again. Use sighting reports to use scent based lures like clothing or food. Leave doors open so that your dog has a way to get inside when they return home. Do Not: Leave the scene and start searching for your dog. You are spreading your scent and making it more difficult for your dog to come back to you. Close up your house so your dog has no way of coming inside when they return. Chase your dog or yell their name. This will only drive them further away.
