Message from Owner

Tigger is a sweet neighborhood cat who has been missing from the Oakley area of Asheville for 5 days. She is an older, long-haired cat with a mix of brown tabby and orange patches (torbie), white paws, and a fluffy white chest. She is treated for fleas, but other medical history is unknown. Please check sheds, garages, decks, and crawlspaces where an older cat might seek shelter. If seen or found, please call/text or reach out through PawBoost immediately!

Check up in trees, on top of roofs, inside closed garages, under houses/buildings with missing or broken foundation vent covers. Cats can get inside many places that they need help getting out. Ask all neighbors to check their properties. Never put food or a cats litter box outside. Both attract wild animals that may harm (or worse) a cat. Post photos around the neighborhood, inside grocery and pet supply stores. Go as quickly as possible to all local animal shelters to search for your cat. The nice people answering their phones will not know about all the cats dropped off or brought in by Animal Control. Try putting some of your unwashed clothing outside. Sometimes this helps a confused cat find its way back home. Call all local veterinary clinics to check if anyone has brought your cat in to be scanned for a microchip or treated for an injury. Ask them to be on the lookout for your cat. Please don't give up on searching for your cat. The safest place for cats are inside a nice home.
