Found this guy walking down Hemingway rd this morning. Came back in the afternoon and he was still there, traveling towards hwy9. I fed him and gave him water, and will probably check back tomorrow, but am unable to bring him home myself. He’s friendly but needs to gain some trust.

Samantha Wilkinson I didn’t know you had already called the county, contacted shelters, and tried to get him to go with you as none of that was in the post and wasn’t clear from what I saw as well as others. My comment came from being concerned because he appeared to be in distress and possibly injured, and now people have gone looking for him and he’s no longer there. I’m glad you did try to get him help and went back with food and water. 👏 I just really hope someone was able to get him somewhere safe.

Macon Mills this is my post, and you’re acting like I didn’t try to convince him to come with me, he wouldn’t. I also never said he was injured. I called the county, and animal control said the shelter was full, as was kind keeper. Since I couldn’t bring him home due to having three dogs of my own, and couldn’t convince him to come with me, what else was I supposed to do? I returned to feed him and give him water, which was well within my control.

If you see a dog in distress that appears to be injured, why wouldn’t you call someone who can help or take the dog somewhere safe instead of posting him and leaving him on the side of the road? Now multiple people have gone looking for him and he’s no longer there. This is heartbreaking.
