Description

Black fur with very sparse white hairs. Furless belly and sometimes spotty fur around knees and elbows. Shy little guy but the sweetest cat you'll ever meet. If he likes you, he will ram his head into your hand/head, and stand up to put his hands on your leg to ask to be pet. Loves cuddling up in bed and receiving belly rubs and head kisses. Likes to be held with his paws over your shoulder. Will drink water (obsessively) from anywhere, including the faucet or pool. When it rains, he will climb under the bed covers or hide somewhere dark and dry. Walks with a bounce in his step and crook in his tail when he's happy. Can often be caught sitting like he is in the picture and licking his belly.

Message from Owner

Sawyer got out of the hse one night, soon after we moved from Carrollton to Grand Prairie. I'm worried he might be trying to travel back to his old , about 30 miles away :-(. If you see him, or even a cat resembling him, please give him some food/water, a kiss on the head, a belly rub, and get in contact with me right away! If you see a cat like him but you're not sure, take a picture and send it to me, I'm happy to check if it's him. He is not microchipped (stupidly), so I need all the help I can get. Sawyer is my rock, he's been with me through everything, and helped tremendously with my anxiety. I would do anything to have him back.

I lived in Houston a man told me about his family’s lost cat in the Veterans Memorial area. He said they had moved from Alief to VM area and the cat accidentally got out and had now been lost about a month, it had not been found! I asked him if he had checked with any of his old Alief neighbors, which he had not! Alief is 17 miles from North Houston and you cross about 3 different freeway systems! The man checked…..his cat was on the patio of his Alief residence! Waiting and very hungry! He was very happy I had suggested he check with his previous neighbors! Don’t under estimate how far an animal can travel to get back to the home he was familiar with!
