Oscar's Owner Says

Thank you everyone for your efforts to locate Oscar. He has now been reunited with his family and we are overjoyed and so relieved that he is home. We don’t know what happened, he’s much thinner and very dirty, i’m currently having a large meal, which I’m sure will be followed by a long nap.

Also check local shelters rescues and vets in case someone has found him and turned him in. Don’t give up he will probably come home when he is ready.❤️

Thank you so much for your comments and assistance. Definitely been out early in the morning late at night shaking the treat bag listening for him. Neighbours are all aware that he is missing and are watching out for him as well. He does climb and we found him on the neighbours roof and up a tree. In the past, he’s been very vocal so we we’ve been able to locate him this time. We can’t hear him at all. He has never gone further than across the street or the neighbour directly behind us before.

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. However some folks have set the litter box out with success - this is up to you. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT! Consider building a CATIO - for THEIR safety. https://thefurbearers.com/.../catio-season-why-cat.../

Likely hiding close by or up a tree within 5 or 6 houses away. Ask neighbours to check sheds, garages and under decks and bushes. Go out with flashlight when quiet and dark. Get posters up asap using zip lock bags. Leave soiled article of your clothing outside to draw home. Leave door open a few inches and kitty may walk inside typically between 2 and 4 am. Motion lights and security cameras are really helpful. Make sure your microchip information is up to date or it will be useless. Good luck!
