Message from Owner

Milley took off yesterday from her yard with her tracker on, I went to find her and found her tracker in the middle of Morganton Rd. I spotted her heading towards the Ingleside road but did not find her. She is usually an indoor cat, but likes to hang out in the yard with the leash, but she got off her harness chasing a bird. I am worried about her crossing the roads and without her tracker. She is not used to being outside by herself. If you spot her, please let me know. I miss her and I’m very worried about her out there.

Stephanie Daly go out at night and at dawn and call softly for the kitty. They are nocturnal and come out at night. Get those clothes, bedding, blankets, whatever has cats and your smell outside all over. Talk to everyone. Don’t give up. Reward. Put up laminated posters and call he shelter everyday and give them a big big laminated photo. Hoping for you. Get kitty chipped.

ALMOST ALWAYS CATS ARE VERY VERY CLOSE. THEY FREAK AND WONT COME. PUT OUT BLANKET OR CLOTHES WITH YOUR SMELL. NO FOOD AS IT ATTRACTS STRAYS. TALK TO KIDS AND PEOPLE WALKING IN NEIGHBORHOOD. FLYERS WITH BIG GOOD PHOTO. REWARD. KEEP LOOKING. VERY CLOSE. IT CAN TAKE TWO THREE WEEKS OR LONGER. KEEP LOOKING CLOSE....CALL ANIMAL CONTROL EVERY DAY AND TAKE A BIG GOOD PHOTO TO THEM. DO NOT GIVE UP. PUT AD IN PAPER. KEEP TALKING TO PEOPLE IN NEIGHBORHOOD.

Stephanie Daly you need to replace the unwashed clothing everyday as your scent will fade quickly.

Susan Lafontaine thank you. I’ve been putting some blankets and stuff outside. And will go back to the shelter to look again. I appreciate the tips ❤️

Please try putting some of your unwashed clothing (t-shirt that you've worn that still has your scent on it) outside near your door. Cats can smell their owners from miles away and this may help your confused or lost cat find its way back home. Do NOT put any food outside as it WILL attract wild animals that may harm your cat or prevent your cat from approaching your house. Go in person to local shelters to search for your cat. The person answering the phone will not know about all cats that have been dropped off or brought in by animal control. Go to your local pet supply stores and check their bulletin boards to see if someone has posted a photo of your cat. Ask them if you can post a photo of your cat. Please don't give up on searching for your cat.
