Please place its bedding 🛏 outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a contents of tuna can 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vaccumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the🐈 cat. 10 houses to the ⬅️ left 10 house🏡 to the right➡️ front ⬆️ and back⬇️ if they spot him to give you a call ☎️ immediately. Also, you can put up a Sign post 🪧with your 🐱📷 picture. In front of your 🏡lawn and to call you or contact you ASAP. Go early ⏰️ in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera / Baby monitor 📹 to monitor and see & hear if the cat is around your house 🏡. You can even ask your Local Pet 🐱 Animal Shelter to Rent out a Safe Trap and monitor it.. Praying for a soon safe return 🍀 of your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Drag scent trails… She may be hiding under a porch, a shed, or a car, behind bushes, or in a wooded area. Go out late at night with a flashlight that might reflect against her eyes, and call her gently. Or shake a bag of treats, sometimes better than your voice to attract a cat that’s scared. Create scent trails on the grass and ground leading up to your home (or to a trap, ideally monitored with a trail cam, so you can respond quickly when the cat is in the trap). Get a towel and rub it with your dirty laundry, blankets, socks, or anything else with the scent of home. (Do not use kitty litter.) Tie a rope to the towel and drag it from the areas where you think the cat might be, creating scent trails leading to your house (or the trap). You won’t smell the scent on the towel or the ground, but the cat will. (If you use a trap, load it with a little cat food, chicken or tuna, enough to attract the cat from the trail that leads up to it. Rely on the scent trails to get your cat to the trap.) Rain and snow will wash away the scent trails, so you’ll have to drag again afterwards. Also, renew the trails every couple days. Try to remain patient and hopeful. Some cats only show up after many days or even weeks. Important: . Never leave a trap unattended, always keep an eye on it, checking it every 1/2 hour in person or with a trail cam. Position the trap close to where the cat escaped or was last seen. . Trail cam photos and videos are marked with time stamps, helpful to know if and when the cat shows up but doesn’t go into the trap. . Post flyers in the area with a picture of your cat and your contact information. . Even if you don’t have a trap or a trail cam, scent trails leading to your home can work.

*Start asap* all these tips from all of us are really great tips... they really do work... pleaseeee keep repeating...check with your neighbors for any sightings and ask if they have cameras..go out really late at night or really early in am... middle of the night with flashlight and call for him/her and then quietly listen he/she may be hiding scared injured or stuck somewhere ...shine the flashlight around his/her eyes will reflect off of it...keep checking the shelters go in person make sure you're going to correct shelter where animal control would bring a cat from your area... they are too busy to contact you and check all the pets coming in...set up trail cameras near ur home ..they only take pics when something is in front of it moving ..so you don't have to look thru 24 hours of camera everyday... (there are great ppl out there to lend one to you and so many ppl in the community will help you look for him/her) if you can monitor, set a humane trap with really strong smell food to attract and make sure that’s the only food out for him/her…all the tips to find lost cats really really do work please follow them.keep posting and we'll keep sharing and hang lots of fliers talk to as many ppl and hand them fliers...it'Il keep him/her on everyone's mind so they are always on the lookout…concentrate on putting up fliers especially in ur area they really don't go far at all. If they do go outside or are not neutered/spayed may travel further. No litter box please it may attract predators. Prayers for your kitty out there and you find him/her asap.

Prayer Lost Pet Dear St. Francis and St. Anthony, please come promptly to the aid of this precious pet, and those who love him/her so, and enable him/her to find his/her way back home, having suffered no ill effects from his/her separation from his/her family. Tips Cat Lost Pawboost FB If adopted from rescue or shelter notify them immediately since they may offer help. Cats don’t always come back on their own. Setting a trap and following tips offered is important. Ask local shelter for listing of a rescue with an experienced trapper who may help. If they have no listing look on Petfinder for rescues in your zip code. Avoid all text, Instagram, and “miracle pet finder" suggestions. Don't ever give up hope, keep searching, and update group! Posters with “Do not chase, call with sighting” are very important and using Pawboost has helped many owners as well. Have neighbors check their Ring videos. Feel free to message me to review if needed. Feel free to copy & paste to share with any owners of lost cats. Here's tips for finding lost cats. If the cat was adopted from a rescue, notify them immediately and ask if they can offer help and suggestions. If no one saw cat leave house, search thoroughly inside using flashlight to see eye reflection and open and check closets, cabinets, drawers, attics and basements - make sure he or she didn't get stuck in ceiling by pushing tiles open, or anywhere else. You can keep closet and other inside doors open and place bowl of food with flour around it to see if it’s been eaten - look for paw prints. Cats hide when not feeling well. FIRST and most importantly, read tips on missinganimalresponse (.com) websites for information on searching based on cat's temperament, behavior, and whether indoor only, indoor/outdoor, or outdoor only. Also use information on sites for neon poster format (always add Do Not Chase - Call with Sighting, Check Sheds, Garages etc. with Flashlight.), resource links, and pet detective services. If your cat is indoor only and spayed/neutered, he or she is probably hiding nearby and staying within 5-10 houses or if further, 5-10 blocks in either direction or less unless chased out of territory. Normally they hide first few days and then venture out at night or early morning for food when quieter. They usually find a specific place to access for shelter like in or under sheds, decks, porches, garages, or by bushes establishing this as a base to leave from looking for food and returning to for safety. Inside only cats are usually more scared, hide longer, and stay closer to home. See more tips below. Conduct searches starting at home and expanding in circular radius from starting point to thoroughly check and cover areas. Repeat as necessary. Put supervised only trap and check every 2 hours in good weather and every half hour to hour depending on hot or cold temperatures with food in it in your yard and by last sighting. Keep in mind setting 3 traps spaced out in triangle increases chances. Never leave trap set when no one is there, close trap, remove bait food, and wash trap if another animal was caught. May be better not to leave food overnight to avoid attracting wildlife, etc. or just use dry food if trapping at night. Make sure each trap is covered top and sides, supervised at all times, and checked often. Put 1/2 of dry food feeding and water out daily after 2nd or 3rd day and away from trap to keep in area. Put something that smells like you (worn socks) and cat (toy, bedding, etc.) in yard and smaller item(s) in trap or nearby - add catnip if he or she likes it. Many advise not to put out used litter, as it may attract a predator. Note: Kentucky Fried Chicken (no bones) is a good choice to use for bait food and/or their favorite food. Go with your intuition with what may work best for your cat. Many people use Pawboost it’s a very good alert system and comments on Facebook posts update on pawboost (.com). There are also petamberalert (.com), petfbi (.org), and lostmykitty (.com) for poster and notification services to neighbors, vets, shelters, and rescues in area. Nextdoor app is also good for notifying neighbors. Ask if neighbors have ring or other security cameras that they can check and notify you of any sightings. Put up posters ASAP, and notify non-emergency police and animal control in surrounding areas and bring posters for them to put up on bulletin board. Enlist daily help by giving posters to neighbors, joggers, walkers, dog walkers, public works, mailmen, and older children who are out regularly in area to keep an eye out for your pet. Make sure to speak to and give posters to anyone feeding cats in your neighborhood. Post on local town Facebook pages, and town, county, and state lost and found Facebook pages - Lost Cats, etc. Leave garage, shed, or porch open for cat to access, put their bed and something with your scent and theirs, when possible. In wintertime, put out shelter, igloo with straw etc. Use baby monitor to hear if crying during night, and you can purchase security camera and/or wildlife camera with IR night vision to monitor activity in yard and by feeding station. Newer ones have Apps to view immediately if a photo is taken. Ask neighbors if you can check yards, garages, porches, and in and under sheds and decks - use flashlight. Ask them to check as well. Go at dusk, evening, and before dawn with a good flashlight to see reflecting eyes. Check trees, as well. Do not chase, or call. If sighted lie on ground shake treats to see if your cat will come to you. Most go into feral mode so it is better to set a trap in yard and at last sighting following above instructions. Ask area rescues if they can assist with hanging posters if you need help with this and especially with trapping if they have experienced volunteers. Remember indoor only cats may hide first few days but venture out when hungry coming out of hiding when quiet. DO NOT CHASE! (Put this on all flyers!). If hiding place is found, set supervised only and covered traps with permission in that area. In extreme hot or cold weather trap must be watched when set and checked hourly. Check petfinder (.com) for cats in rescue and shelter, and go to local shelters in person daily. They usually don’t venture far. It’s probably scared & hiding near by in bushes or an open garage. Most kitties will stay put in their safe hiding spot. ( if they’re not fixed they can wonder further, depends on circumstances) Ask neighbors to check their sheds, decks, garages. They usually venture out at night after 24-48hrs when they start getting hungry. The “witching” hour when they come out is 3am. If you see your pet, don’t try to grab it, it’s still on survival mode and will run. Just sit down maybe with some treats and let your pet come to you. (Remember, never put the litterbox outside. Other cats will mark it & scare your cat away. Just in case, also set some humane traps near by, hide them in the bushes where your pet might hide. Good luck & don’t lose hope. Pray to St Anthony, he hasn’t let me down. 🙏🏻🐾
