I found this group on FB & I am following it because it appears to be very helpful because they share dogs & cats that have been picked up. And are in the local shelters. For instance I saw a recent post for 5/1st & when you scroll down in that post it shows the photos of each animal & info. It's called Save Dog Souls . Houston Pets Alive group also pulls cats & dogs from the shelters and posts info. And lists of those that are adoptable. There's also another group I believe it's called Houston/ Harris County Shelter Animals or Pets . Hope this helps & your precious cat is safe and reunited with you soon 🙏💖

Check on 24petconnect.com, they are linked to all the local shelters and you can search by your zip code. Call and physically go into the shelters to look for her.

Also try playing cats or kittens meowing on YouTube outside in your yard or in a window of your home. Check with neighbors as she may have been accidentally locked in a garage or shed.

Try putting something outside with your scent on it, worn socks seem to work best. If you have a garage put a bowl of food in there and leave the door open enough for her to get in. Although I am sure you have already done this, start searching immediately and keep looking. Look in bushes, under cars, and anywhere she can crawl into, they tend to stay close to home. Take a can of food with you and call her name or use whatever sound gets her to come to you. Search early morning, evenings with a flashlight, and late at night. Praying for her safe return home 🙏

Put litterbox outside so he or she can smell their own scent and find their way home easier. Don’t leave food outside because that could attract predators or stray cats and scare he or she off. Go for a walk around the area and call from the car then sit outside your house and call for him or her and also just talk in your normal voice and have a conversation with someone. They eventually hear you and smell their scent and find their way. Repeat this every day until she or he comes home. Also check neighbor garages.
