‼️MISSING CAT‼️ PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHEDS. We live on Bradley St. between Young St. and Combs St. in Burlington, NC Our sweet boy Max has been missing for 3 days now. He's a very friendly cat but can be a bit skiddish. When he was a kitten he had a bad eye infection, so his eye look a little cloudy. He comes to "maxmaxmax" or "Maxie Cat". If you see him, please PLEASE message me. We are worried sick.

PLEASE READ!! I SWEAR BY THIS!! They don't go far. Get a humane trap ASAP. I've used it to catch 4 of my own. Worked every time. 3 days, 5 days, over a week and the longest was 5 weeks!! They don't go far. Don't listen to anyone who says put food out. They eat it when no one is around and leave. I bait it with mackerel, changing it out daily. Caught at night each time. Make the trap the only option for food. Put the trap by the front door or on your porch. Tractor Supply has good prices on traps, and rescue groups often loan or rent them out. I've also caught about 20 strays I wanted to fix. Very effective. Never give up.

Tips for finding your cat. This is how I recently helped my friend find her lost cat. You MUST go and search for them because they may not be able to find their way home. Please try doing these things, ESPECIALLY walking around in late evening and/or early morning and calmly calling your cat then stopping periodically to listen for their reply/meow. Cover the same area over and over, EVERY day. (I've read they rarely travel more than 500 feet from home.) Go out at dusk & walk around & calmly call them. Cats can become fearful outdoors, even of their owners. If they gets treats, take a box & shake it gently. Walk, call, then listen to see if you hear their meow. Take a flashlight & shine it under every nearby car, bush, etc. looking for eyes reflecting. Put blankets or clothing with your scent on your porch or patio. Ask neighbors to make sure they didn't get shut inside a shed, garage, etc. Put posters w/ their photo & your number at every nearby stop sign & red-light & give 1 to your mail carrier. Give their photo & your number to any regular walkers or joggers. This is how my friend's cat was found, a jogger saw him. If none of this works see if someone can loan you a small humane trap & set it up w/ food & check it often. Praying they make it back home soon! 🙏 This takes some time, effort & a little money but it's totally worth it. ❤️

Please put up posters all over the neighborhood and ask neighbors to check their garages and sheds. Most cats stay close to home and many people are not on social media - so will never see this post. Posters encourage local people to keep an eye out for him - see example of a good, simple, easy-to-see red poster in photo. Best wishes in finding your sweet Max. 🙏
