Dixie went missing yesterday from the Lake Francis subdivision off Pine Forest Road, across from Five Flags Speedway on Sunday, August 2nd. She belongs to my neighbor, Calvin, and unexpectedly got out of her yard. Dixie is wearing a collar with her name, Calvin’s phone number, and her rabies tag. She is also microchipped. If you see her or have any information, please reach out right away. Please share this post to help bring Dixie home safely.

April AH great advice when a dog is in flight or fight mode. I would suggest adding to the flier where she went missing. That’s very important information. Animal rescue is not a profession, it’s just what you’re doing. Trying to help get this baby home.

PLEASE do not call Dixie’s name if you see her, don’t chase her, please try to keep your eyes on her and reach out to us. I am monitoring all posts constantly. She is in what’s called ‘flight mode’ and is running out of fear and confusion. Calling her name will make this worse. I have already shared her name everywhere and cannot take it down, this is why I’m mentioning it. I am not a professional animal rescuer and I am learning new things as we go through trying to find her. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks so much!

Antoinette, nothing yet. A decent amount of signs were put out today and her owner paid for PawBoost to push her flyer out to anyone within a 20 mile radius of our zipcode. Last sighting was a couple of days ago at 10021 Chemstrand Rd. She is in flight mode and running. We are asking anyone that may encounter her to only keep eyes on her. Don’t call her name or chase her. My number is posted and can be called or texted any time. We appreciate everyone keeping an eye out for her. 🤍
