Found/Stray Cat in Worcester, MA 01605

This little fluffy cloud wondered into our hallway, one day I unexpectedly left the door open. My husband found her in the hallway the following morning. Our first thoughts are to never to just take somebody's cat, one of our cats just past in May and we have another cat who is twelve. I couldn't imagine the feeling if my cat got out and someone just took him, so I would never do that to someones furbaby. I don't know if this is a boy or a girl. I have temporarily named it nimbus (they dont come to the name, just our voice). I have been caring for it just to keep it safe from the stray animals in my area, i keep my hallway door a crack open so the cat is always free to leave.There is food for it, water and litter and a place to sleep. I have checked lost/missing postings, checked around the neighborhood, made postings. I will most likely be bringing it to a shelter. I believe this cat is young and it is very friendly, loves men, this cat is so so soft, doesn't like being picked up, plays a little bit, does not like other cats so if it does have a home, it could have came from a home where there was no other cat(s) now these are just my assumptions, so i'm not sure. I just want what's best for the cat. The last thing I want to do is steal someone's cat and make my cat uncomfortable i know that i've already said that , but i've had people say it in comments , and I don't want that to be a running comment , because that's not my intention at all. Lets find this little clouds family. 🩶☁️
