Description

She is a tuxedo , with a crooked stripe on her face,2.5 yrs old but very small and still looks like a young cat. She can be skittish but very friendly , especially if offered treats or “breakfast” (canned food) We miss her sooo much! She is my daughter’s cat. We have already been through so much loss this yr and it’s only March, we can’t lose her too! Please help and keep eyes out for her, she is so very missed!!!

I’m so sorry your fur baby is missing. I’m posting a few tips to to help you find her and I realize that perhaps you’ve already tried some of them. (But hopefully there’s still a point or two you’ll find helpful.) Please put her bed/blanket or an unwashed article of your clothing outside, the scent will help her find her way home. Experienced rescues advise not to use soiled cat litter as it can attract predators and aggressive cats. If she’s an indoor only kitty, she’s probably close but hiding. Check under the house, porches, and in sheds and garages, anywhere she may be trapped. Ask your neighbors to do the same. Ask them, too, to check their Ring cameras. If she’s not home by tonight, search under bushes and shrubs with a flashlight, her eyes will reflect the light and you'll be able to see her. Best time to search is late night and early morning when it’s most quiet outside. Call her name softly and gently shake a treat bag. If it’s safe, consider leaving an entrance to your home cracked open just a little in case she returns sometime during the night. Post on Pawboost and Nextdoor , excellent additional resources that can assist you. If you can, put up fliers throughout your neighborhood and report her as missing to local vets. Finally, be sure to file a lost kitty report with your county shelter, Multnomah County Animal Services (503) 988-7387. Send a photo if possible. Many people don’t use social media, so the shelters are often the first place they turn to. Last but not least, beware of lost pet scams. They appear to be on the increase these days. All my best wishes for a speedy reunion.
