Go out tonight with a flashlight and a bag of cat treats, Calmly, and composed, call the cat's name, don't yell, shake the treat bag, look under vehicles,in the undercarriage, in their wheel wells, knock on bumpers and fenders,slap, or hit the hoods (sometimes they crawl in the engine bay and these other spaces for warmth and safety), look under porches and decks, under stairs, in and around bushes and shrubbery, in between, and if safe to, behind buildings, shine the light on rooftops, on upper level decks, on windowsills, and fire escapes, use the light to expose the are, and to help you see the eye shine,or reflection of the cat's eyes. Calmly call the cat's name, then shake the treat bag. Do these actions throughout the neighborhood where the cat is lost, alternating between searching with the light, and calling its name every night after sunset,then again late night, some recommend around 10 pm to 4,5 am
