Post on Nextdoor. If possible, walk him on a leash in the neighborhood where he was found to see if he leads you to his home Take to a vet, shelter or police station to scan for a microchip. Vets will do this for free. Contact local vets, shelters (PSPCA, ACCT, etc) and local police to see if a matching pet was reported as lost. File a found dog report at ACCT. Please do not just hand him over to anyone claiming to be the owner or that they will give him a good home. People will take animals and then sell them to dog fighting rings to be used as training bait, sell to labs to be used in experiments, or they abuse, torture them and them. Ask for ID and verify. Ask for vet or adoption records and verify. Ask to see pictures of the pet.
