This pet was found roaming Gibson and University on my way to pick up a friend from the airport. He was shaking like a leaf in the middle of the road and everyone was honking to try to get him to move. I pulled over and called for him and he came straight to me. He was skin and bones and deeply injured. We took him to the vet to check for a chip, and there was nothing—started him on antibiotics. He is also intact. I took him in and have covered all of his pet bills so far, trying to help him regain strength with a gentle diet and treated him for fleas, ticks, and mites. His wounds are scabbing over slowly and his ribs and spine are showing less. He is extremely sweet, very playful, and cuddly. The vet estimates he is four years old and weighs 23lbs. He’s a pit bull of sorts and loves walks, toys, and deep talks. I believe he has been a street dog for a while—he was in very bad shape when I scooped him up one week ago. I can’t keep him and don’t want him euthanized! Please contact me if you can give this dog a loving home. He has an appointment on the 27th of October to be neutered, vaccinated, and chipped. Please help find a forever home for this loving little boy 💙🙏🏼 We’ve named him Sonny!
