Message from Owner

My mother-in-law’s beloved pet bird, Pinot, flew away on October 20 near Dr. Dunn Road and Tribble Gap Road in Cumming, GA. He is very friendly, loves people, and may even land on your shoulder. He has always lived indoors and may be scared, hungry, and looking for shelter. My mother-in-law is heartbroken. 💔 Please check your trees, yards, and porches. If spotted, please contact us immediately! Please share and help bring Pinot home! 🙏❤️

Please spread a white sheet in the yard. Place the cage, toys and seed and water in the center of the sheet. It’s called the bullseye method. Play bird calls and songs from YouTube. Often they are inexperienced flyers and go straight up. They don’t recognize anything and don’t know where to go. They often stay near playgrounds if there is a school near you. So sorry. Please share this on the Nextdoor app

Kim Gayneaux Allen with a parrotlet it makes 0 difference because their wings are so small and they’re so light and tiny. I’ve had a few. Clipping is an older husbandry and outdated standard, and is bad for their overall health. But for this little guy, 0 difference genuinely would have been made.

I pray she gets her baby back. I know they say not to clip their wings but for this reason sometimes it’s best.
