Message from Owner

- Riley has been mine since he was 1 HOUR old. We were traveling, stopped at the Red Roof Inn in and he jumped out. My heart is broken & I am offering a REWARD for him or info resulting in finding him. He iis a geriatric cat & will not survive cold temperatures. I will not leave this area until I find him.. rainandfog01@gmail.com. I have.had a small stroke that has slowed down my search. PLEASE HELP!! Dreadfully URGENT!! Please do not contact with paid tracking services of any kind. A person took this photo of him I have posted here, they left an email contact address and then never replied to several emails I sent them. Any sighting/spotting of him is deeply & gratefully appreciated. I’m not from this area and am lost in this area. Thank you very much.

Bronte Greywood Bronte Greywood first off dont ever threaten me. If you even knew me or my work to help people and on my own time and dime you wouldnt send a stupid comment like this. Go for it. I dont care if your a student. I have never harassed you in any way. If your actually even the owner and not pawboost themselves. Do you know how many pets are found and no owner can be contacted by this bogus site? I have proof. And if you want i can get more proof. We find pets and the site won't let you have direct contact to owners. Why? Money?? A recent dog was found and i tried contacting owner through so called owner through pawboost and guess what. No owner! Dogs a stray and still missing by the way. I got proof. Dont ever threaten me!! Because if you knew the work i do you wouldn't of said this. And im sure you will hide my comment. Sorry for helping because i never put a post out from a fake pawboost site. And when someone else finds a pet this site posts found as if they found the pet. Ps...im gonna delete my post that i did for you awhile ago and it will get rid of the shares. Hope you find your cat. If your truly the owner. Most owners post through themselves. Good luck to you

Monica Latosky “Monica” you have made a grave mistake in continuing to harass me about my lost cat. You have made several serious mistakes in continuing to do this and have chosen the wrong person to attempt this with. You will be very easy to locate & I advise you to expect to be prepared for consequences you cannot even imagine. You are and have violated Ohio State law and that will be the easy consequences you are now facing. Every person with a lost beloved animal will soon know who you are, why you are doing this and will hope you are fiscally positioned to pay for the attorneys you will need. Unfortunately, you singled out a law student to attempt to scam. Good luck.

Nayak Sam Nayak — thank you so much for your kind reply about my missing cat, Riley. The person who replied to you saying, “this isn’t the owner posting, either.” — I strongly suspect this is the woman who harassed me via phone because I would not engage her “free service” using a trail cam. I explained this full scam in a post I just made. I realize you may not be int in reading about the miserable scam this criminal put me through for weeks, but because of your kind reply I could not tolerate the reply she sent you. Further, you can see above where she messaged me accusing me that the photo I posted of my cat Riley, that was taken by a kind passerby, was not not my actual cat. This is my cat, I have posted my phone & email all over PawBoost and Facebook. I am a law student in Cleveland and cannot afford to be involved in “cat scam”. For the life of me I can’t figure out what that “scam” would be. I’m falsely posting to find one particular cat out of dozens to what? Start a cat selling business? I apologize for this lengthy message, especially after your kind & generous words to me. Again, I do describe the full scam I believe this person is harassing me with above in this thread. I am contacting 3 sets of authorities re the matter. Again, thank you for your caring words. They mean the world to me.

Monica Latosky I replied earlier that I don’t know what the devil you mean sending me a question like that. yES this is the actual photo of my lost cat Riley. Is this some sort of harassment? If you are the cruel scammer that was offering completely bogus “trail cam” services and were using several fake accounts to claim that “you” had found several lost cats I suggest you remove your post immediately because MENTOR POLICE - not Eastlake, are looking for you. This scammer claimed her services were free then expected money as a “thank you for trying.” She sent people completely fake videos to “prove” she had a successful method, none of which made any sense. This is just the type of question this reprobate would post. This woman harassed me for wks via phone & when I continued to refuse to engage her service she began calling telling me I was a terrible cat mother. That I didn’t deserve to have a cat if I would lose him at a motel. Said I was a scammer trying to get cats that weren’t mine. She posted on FB that I was a scammer & any spotting of Riley should be ignored. All lwhile I was recovering from a stroke brought on my losing my beloved cat. She used the name “Heather” and several other names. The list of lies and insults were not to be believed. Remove this ridiculous question if this a photo of my actual cat or I’m reporting it to the moderators and I am a 3L law student with resources and training to make your life difficult.

William Glenn Johnson perhaps you did not read the post. The cat got loose while we were traveling and spent the night at the Red Roof Inn. There can be no sitting in a chair waiting as we do not live in Mentor, Ohio. I do not even know anything about Mentor, Ohio. This is the worst possible circumstance under which a cat could become lost. He did not become lost from our home which is not Mentor , Ohio.

Tips for finding your lost kitty I'm sure he/she is hiding nearby or could have been accidentally locked in a neighbor's garage - talk to all neighbors in a several block radius. Posters are helpful and do notify police and animal shelters.. Most importantly, I would get a chair, a bowl of her/his favorite food or tuna, a used poopbox for scent, and stay outside your door in that chair tonight and every night until he/she comes home. You must monitor the poopbox! The scent of poopboxes attracts predators like wild dogs and coyotes and most experts suggest caution. In my advice post I specify that you must remain outside to monitor the poopbox. Animals can smell these a mile away and the last thing you want is to lure your kitty into a coyote ambush. Here’s a recent joyous post discussing a lost kitty who was found: "Thank you all for help in finding Patty! She was found by kind neighbors a street over. She was stuck in a tree. Patty is getting all the love, dinner, fresh water, and all the attention.” Thank you Patty for reminding us to look in all possible places including high trees and utility poles especially at night. Kitties can climb up a tree or pole to escape from a predator often in the middle of the night when they are active. And here’s another story that might be helpful about beautiful Ella of Parma Heights in Ohio. Here’s what her CatMom Carolyn told us: We noticed our cat Ella was missing about 8 a.m. We searched the entire house, and surrounding property and walked around our neighbors homes. Posted pictures of her and talked to neighbors. Then after canvassing the neighborhood, we heard Ella meowing in a bedroom around 8 that evening. Ella was in a dresser drawer! Picture a mostly black cat on top of black exercise clothes. She was accidentally shut in by her CatMom early that morning. She will now be wearing a neon colored collar. Thank you beautiful Ella! Your traumatic experience in the drawer may very well now rescue other kitties with a fondness for soft people clothes. Thank you! <3 And the we read this from Shayna in the Akron area: WE FOUND NALA!!! Thank the Lord!! Turns out she was in our basement walls this whole time. I was downstairs playing with the kids and heard scratching on the walls. There’s a small hole in our ceiling but what we didn’t know is there’s a little gap that she must have fallen through. We had to bust open a wall but thank goodness we found her. She’s doing well. She’s been eating, drinking and asking for all the snuggles. <3 Back to the task at hand - Yes, I know it’s cold tonight but so is it cold for your baby – just bring blankets and a warm hat. Cats hide during the day but will come out late at night when they feel its safe. You need to be there when she/he comes back because he/she will not hang around and wait for you. Be patient and call her/him by name often. This will require some work and inconvenience but it will be well worth the effort.
