Pamela Steiger Bell Hi Pamela, thank you so much for your advice! Tyson is an indoor cat, he just so happened to sneak out of the house while my dad had the door open. He is not chipped! That will be the first thing we do when he comes back. Plus, I took his collar off a few months ago, but the info on the tag was still my cousin's. I've posted his flyers on every stop sign in my neighborhood as well as one in the next neighborhood. My neighbors have been very kind and hae allowed me to search their shrubs and yards. I plan on setting up a trap and hopefully getting a camera.

So sorry to hear that your cat is missing, here are some things that might help in your search. Put out things that smell familiar, like their toys, bed, definitely their favorite food and water. And things that smell like you such as a shirt or blanket. Double check every place in your house, crawlspaces, sheds, and garages, and in the bushes around your house. Ask neighbors to do the same. Cats will hide in the darndest places. And call his name while you're walking around outside looking for him, or even inside in case he's trapped in a closet. The sound of your voice will help. Get flyers up in the area and make sure your neighbors are all aware to be on the lookout. Post on PawBoost and all the Lost Pet sites for where you live, and those will get shared. Constantly check with all of the animal shelters and they're posting a lot their intakes on Facebook. Also check with vets in the area. You can set out a humane trap and see if you can catch your kitty that . If your cat is micro chipped, which I hope it is, check with the microchip company in case somebody finds your cat . If you have Ring or other security cameras outside, check those, and ask neighbors if they can check theirs as well. And if you've heard about coyotes in the area, please don't continue to let them outside. Please bring them inside and keep them inside to keep them safe going forward.
