Please check out the Missing Pet Partnership website for help. They have many ideas to help recover your lost kitty. They do not suggest using the cat liter as it can bring predators to the area.

also leave some cloths or towels outside that have you smell on them. Ps don't clean the litter box leave outside

I'm sure you have, but contact every shelter, rescue you can think of and leave out food, water, liter, bed. Sending positive vibes and prayers your way.

I am no expert here, but I would think small piles/clumps spaced along the grass near the sidewalk or street may be better, except where you have to cross the street, so that the smell is stronger. Put a lot out on your property since you can only do so much on property that is not your own. Is the neighbor who saw him putting food out for him?
