Mary Lou Shlaudeman so basically people have been saying a coyote attacked and killed an orange cat here and I know there are other orange cats here in my neighborhood but pumpkin just disappeared I’ve looked everyday and I really don’t know what to think people been saying there’s a video but I can’t find it. I just want to know if my cat was attacked

Bobbie Luckyn I hope not but there are so many these days that’s the first thought for anyone missing a cat or small dog. Orange kitty’s are the sweetest. I pray you get him back. I have 4 and they are all indoor only as I can’t handle the thought of losing them. 31 years ago (I can remember as I was pregnant) our cats were all indoor/outdoor but in before dark always. Our Max didn’t come for dinner and I knew right away something was wrong. We put up flyers and walked the neighborhood for a week. I told my husband I’d rather find him dead than not at all. He was shocked but I had a 15 yr old kitty disappear when I was still single and I still wonder what ever happened to her. A week after Max disappeared he was at our back door early in the morning. We figured he had been stuck in someone’s garage or yard shed for that week. I was one happy woman! There is always hope. I see some kitty’s are found or make their way home. I pray your Pumpkin is one of those. 🙏🐾💕

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Knock on neighbors doors ASAP with a picture asking them to be on the look out or have seen your kitty. Ask if they will check Ring for any sightings. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

So sorry your kitty is missing 😰 You must actively look for your kitty. Please go out late at night or very early in the morning when there are very few cars and people out. Sit on your front or back stairs, wherever he’s more familiar and talk in a normal conversation voice, think low cell phone conversation. Do this for at least an hour if not longer, morning and night until found. If he likes treats and knows the sound of a treat bag do that also or any sound that he gets excited about. If he’s scared and hiding, this may be the encouragement needed to come out. Cats can hide for days. Place your worn clothing or something with your scent outside. No food or litter box in this area due to predators. Good luck. I Hope he is found safe and soon. 🙏🐾💕
