Hi, If you havent already, leave out some unwashed worn clothing with your scent in front & back yard Leave food out at your furbabies exit / escape point with a way to get back inside. Sometimes when a cat gets out and something spooks them they will run off, lose their scent to home and go into fight or flight mode and find a hiding spot. They could be only a few streets away. Generally they recommend a 6 block radius check from your house Unfortunately they hide in and get relocated in car engine bays or locked in neighbours sheds, ask them to check Try not to eliminate cat post in different suburbs cats have been relocated 20 -70kms away from home Please read the information i linked below, it explains alot about their behaviour and how to leave a scent trail for your furbaby to find their way safely home 🙏 🐾 https://www.scaredycats.com.au/find-lost-cat/find-lost-cat-step-by-step-guide/other-things-to-do-to-find-lost-cat/make-scent-or-voice-trail/

Please consider a humane cat trap asap 😻 Door knock at least up to 10 houses away to ask your neighbours if they’ve seen them and to check their sheds, garages, roof spaces, caravans, trailers etc. Make up flyers for a letter box drop, put up posters. Leave out your unwashed clothing, their bedding and some smelly food to help attract them home. Also call at night and walk your neighbourhood (with someone so you’re safe) and call them while banging / rattling their food - also take some smelly food to attract them as well as a torch to help better see their eyes in the dark 😻 Call all local vets within 5km and all emergency vets within 20km, the rangers / pounds and the Cat Haven as well as RSPCA. Ask the vets as well as the rangers where their cats are sent if not claimed and ask after how many days they’re sent there. Keep checking their websites too 🤞 Flag their microchip as missing with the relevant microchip registry company and critically, make sure your contact details are up to date at the same time. Please never assume they are as mistakes can be made, I’ve seen it happen. If you know their chip number, but not the registry it’s linked to (there are a few), use their chip number to find out at Pet Address. Please also check if their microchip is with HomesafeID. As they’ve now gone offline, please make sure you re-register their chip with another registry asap if they’re with them so your contact details can be accessed by vets, rangers etc. If it’s safe to do so for you and other pets, can they get back in the way they got out? It’s important to leave your unwashed clothing in the front and back yards to help them work out which house is their home 🤞 Please share to Pets of Perth - Lost & Found.
