Message from Owner

Theo is a neutered male, microchipped with collar and tags. Last seen at 4:30 pm on October 7. He ran out the door before we could catch him and usually comes home but didn't. We searched and searched but didn't find him. He's sweet and friendly.

So sorry that your cat is missing. Please walk the neighborhood as often as possible shaking treats / food and calling your cat’s name. Enlist as many family members as can to do it, including early in the morning and at night in when it is more quiet. Use a flashlight at night so can search in bushes and under cars, anywhere a scared cat may hide. Talk to as many neighbors as can, showing your cat’s picture and if they have sheds or garages or raised houses, ask them if you can check in there or have them check. Ask any neighbors who have outside cameras to check footage as well in case your cat is on it. Find out who feeds outdoor cats in your area and ask them to be on the lookout for your cat since your cat may be looking for food. Also post flyers with your cat’s picture on it several blocks out in all directions and if can, deliver flyers door to door as well. Many people are not on social media so talking to them and posting flyers is super important. If close to businesses, go there as well. And don’t forget to check with the animal shelters in case someone brought your cat there. Praying your cat comes home safely soon. ONE MORE THING: the video listed in the below link is long and includes some of my above suggestions, but it is worth watching because it has hopefully very helpful information for finding your beautiful cat. When my boy went missing, my vet encouraged me to make a scent trail to home for him. My vet encouraged me to put out his favorite toy, bedding, litter box cleaned, or not, preferably all in a fenced yard, or in the garage with the door up just enough for him to get in. Also, he said during the day they will Hide because they are afraid they’re gonna hide so they’ll sleep but at night time they’ll come out. My boy did at 3:30 in the morning. He also said to get a used pillowcase of the owner and a pair of the owners old shoes to put with everything.
