Message from Owner

He was a rescued feral so he might be skittish and nervous around people but very sweet if he gains your trust. Had him about a year and he was very happy being an indoor cat, made friends with our other cats and never showed interest in wanting to leave. He was seen on our cam slipping out on the deck and cautiosly exploring then was spooked by something and ran off towards the woods. Its been a month so he might have wandered far, possible sighting near richlandtown and qtown highschool. So he might be heading south of me.

John Ratke sounds like you’re all over it. You’re also right to use the cameras and flashlight. I shared your post around lost/found pet groups for Bucks & the state. Good luck ☘️🙏🤞

Faith Romberger very nice chart, thank you. Good info. Unfortunately i have done all these things and no luck so far. Havent given up, i have cameras surrounding our area and where he got out from and continue to follow leads. The flashlight held at your own eye level really makes the eyes of what your looking at glow brightly. 🙏🐈‍⬛😿❤️

Poppy is likely close by. Follow the flow chart for both in and outdoor cats- you may need to do both. A mostly indoor cat will hole up in the nearest place that feels safe, under or behind things, shrubs, decks, window wells. A humane trap with smelly food (and if possible a camera) could be a big help. Put your unwashed clothes out by your doors. (People will tell you to put out the litterbox - don’t do that, it can attract predators.) Put signs inside plastic sheet protectors on nearby poles. Tell your neighbors to check cameras and keep an eye out. Go out at night and call softly, shaking a recognizable treat bag or toy. Consider a laser toy light or flashlight to draw the cat’s attention. Many cats return home at night when they feel safer moving around, so leave a door or window open if possible. Best wishes.
