😞 I'm so sorry... yes after all this time and so many black cats on every block i'm glad you have the chip updated with your info on the chance that someone traps your cat and get kitty scanned - very few of us do this because it is time consuming to trap a cat BUT IT COULD HAPPEN. The best thing to do is post flyers on that block and expand out 1 block at a time every week - 2 hours on sat and sunday if you work during the week. AND If you can I would put out wet food in a bowl within a bowl and fill outer bowl with water to prevent ants...a few hours before sunset every night but you must aim a camera too - this would be where he was LOST exactly or closest neighbor that lets you use wifi and feed in the front (or better yet get a neighbor to put food down that you supply - in front of their RING camera door though you may have to start feeding for a while on your own then see if a neighbor can help - yes even after all this time. Luring scared lost cats to wet food with camera that sends notifications to my phone - that is the only way I've foudn so many skitish cats lost in new locations or indoor cats that got out...i recently trapped a black cat named stubie who was lost for over a year!!! wet food bowl with camera aimed $29 mini blink camera using someone's wifi or by using a battery operated camera and check it manually. Cats don't disappear usually - they hide all day and look for food at night.. another idea...💓 MAKE 1-3 HUGE NEON POSTERS and /or a BILLBOARD To increase the chances that a neighbors calls for any possible sighting 💓 HUGE NEON POSTER near where kitty was LOST and also near busy intersection everyone tends to drive by in your neighborhood. 💓 BILLBOARD Make a HUGE BillBoard using a TARP, duct tape and Blown up photo of kitty (kinkos or fedex) - to tie up either by freeway entrance or exit or if not near freeeway then at the busiest intersection near you to ensure everyone in the neighborhood is aware to call you upon sighting. 💓 Tip: Print 16”x20” of clear full body photo of your cat (crop the photo to remove as much background so it’s just your cat) Fedex Print stores charges $11 for one color copy, available overnight. General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely.
