Her and her sister escaped and we managed to find her sister, but not her. We are very worried and we don’t want to leave our dog Sky without her beloved sister Brynn.

Go back. Stay out there with your other pup. Your dog is likely close by. Scent items. Flyers all important. These are basic quick start tips. Put food, water and scent items down at lost area. Many pups circle back if not chased or pursued. Notify AC, PD and neighbors. Post on nextdoor. Get some simple covered lost flyers up in area if needed. Register as lost with petfbi (Lost dogs IL) Check cameras and speak to neighbors. Open a gate, Crack a garage door. Make sure to call local vets as well. Let your pup settle down. Stay up and be watchful of your property for your pup to return and keep eyes on social media if lost from home. If lost from an unknown area (walk, sitter) these steps still apply. Make sure that food is trailed from lost area to direction last seen. Warming up scent items in the dryer and putting them outside is beneficial as well. Scent is huge. If you get a sighting call or see a comment always ask ⬇️ 1. Location 2. Time 3. Direction of travel 4. Running or walking 5. Landmarks, which side of street etc. Small details matter to be able to get to an area. Many pups stay in last sighting area unless chased, pursued or followed. Pups like to gravitate towards woods, parks, cemeteries, tree lines, water and railroad areas. The can follow power lines, bike paths etc. These are just basic tips. Good Luck! If you need a simple bright flyer made, send me a PM.

Lost Dog Tips and Information Post a picture so we know who we’re looking for Please post on Lost Dogs Illinois by registering your pup at https://www.petfbi .org You will receive two free flyers to print and you will need to post in your neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods. They offer tips and best practice on how to recover your loss Dog. This is a free service. Flyers are extremely important in gaining sightings of your pup and where your pup is finding its safe zone. Make sure your phone number is on the flyer and correct. A phone call is much faster than a social media post. * 🔺If your pup is shy/skittish, please do not post sightings. Good Samaritans may chase your dog and cause your dog to bolt or run into traffic. * 🔺Leave food, water and a scent item (ie unlaundered shirt, towel with your scent on it) where the dog went missing. Oftentimes dogs will return to where they were lost from. * 🔺Share the post and start spreading the word on social media, including Next Door and Neighbors Ring App * 🔺Flyers are most important right now! There are many people not on social media, so the more people that see that flyer, the better. * 🔺Put a large lost dog sign in your yard. * 🔺If chipped, call the chip company asap & make sure it’s registered & up to date! 🔺Make sure you report your dog as missing with the Microchip company * 🔺Alert your Animal Control and Police Department too and check with them daily. Good luck! I hope you find Brynn very soon!
