🚨 STILL MISSING 😒😒🚨 Mickey was last seen in the area on Monday morning, 3 August, and despite extensive searching, posters, social media posts, contacting local vets and registering him as missing, we still have not found him. 🙏 Please, please keep checking your garages, sheds, outhouses, gardens, underneath garden furniture, and any enclosed spaces where a frightened cat could be hiding or unexpectedly trapped. Mickey may be frightened and may not respond when called. Please physically check rather than simply looking from outside. He could potentially have been unexpectedly shut inside somewhere. If you have CCTV, Ring doorbell footage, or any cameras covering Melbourne Avenue or the surrounding streets, please check recordings from 3 August onwards. Even a brief sighting could help us locate him. Mickey is microchipped, so if you see a cat that looks like him, please contact me rather than trying to catch him if he is frightened. ❤️ We are desperate to bring Mickey home. Please share this post with neighbours and local groups. Someone may have seen him without realising he is missing. Last seen: 56 Melbourne Avenue, Lozells, Birmingham, B19 2HY Missing since: 3 August Name: Mickey Microchipped: Yes Neutered: Yes 📞 3 or8 Please contact us immediately with ANY possible sighting, even if you are not completely sure. Thank you so much to everyone who has already shared their tips, searched, shared, checked their properties, and helped us. Please don't give up on Mickey. ❤️🐾

Scatter the contents of your hoover bag around the outside boundary of your home - they can scent their way home from miles away, using the familiar smell of your home. If putting out clothing make sure that it hasn’t been washed so that it smells of “you”. Going out late at night/ early morning when it is quieter and less noise distraction around will make it easier for you to hear each other’s calls. If you are calling for him make sure you do this as you walk towards your home not away from it so that if he follows the direction of your voice you’re leading him home, not further away. Also ask any neighbours to check their sheds/ outbuildings in case he’s been inquisitive and got trapped inside somewhere. If he is an indoor cat he is likely scared and hiding somewhere very close by - look under/behind any items/objects that he may be seeking shelter from - under bushes, behind bins etc. when searching at night take a torch - the light from its beam will reflect in his eyes and you will be able to spot him even if he doesn’t respond to your calls. Put up posters in all surrounding streets and inform the microchip company that he is missing. Really hope you find him soon.
