She’s missing half her tail, her nose is half black and brown. She has shorter legs than most cats and her belly hangs.

Message from Owner

This is Toenail. She went missing the night of July 10th in Brooks, Oregon. Toenail is missing half of her tail, and her face/nose is split with black and brown, and her paws are white. She’s a lover and just wants to be loved on and cuddled, and she drools like crazy. If you have seen her, please reach out. Our kids and other animals are missing her. Thanks.

Put out some things that smells like their favorite or familiar people. Do not use a litter box as this may be a beacon to predators as much as the kitty. Don't forget to change out the articles of things so the scent is refreshed. Ask your immediate neighbors and surrounding streets by 5 to 10 miles out to keep an eye out in garages, sheds, crawlspaces, porches, basements, and if possible under any places. Kitties can fit into some very small areas

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Maybe ask if you can put out posters at Route 99 or any other little businesses around there? Just an idea. Hope you get your kitty back soon!
