If you haven’t already, please notify Seaside PD/Animal Control (nonemergency number) as well as SPCA should someone take your cat to either of those places…Check at the shelter daily as necessary! Key is to keep calmly calling your cat at all hours, especially the wee hours & looking for it, using a flashlight to help see its eyes…Check all around your house inside and out and under everything including greenery & especially in all dark places…Check high and low! Put some of your cat’s bedding as well as some of your clothing/blanket with your scent on it outside for your cat to smell, hopefully enticing it to head home! Leave a door or a window open enough for your cat to potentially let itself back inside! Try opening some smelly food like tuna or clams (do not serve it in the can) or rotisserie chicken & shake a food/snacks bag often! Also post on Nextdoor for your neighborhood & ask all your neighbors to please check their garages, sheds, etc. in case your cat got closed inside one! I hope your cat is safely home soon! 🤞🏼
