Hi friends — please help us find our dog, Teapot. He’s a 5-year-old black and white Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix, about 30 pounds, wearing a green collar. He disappeared July 6 near Marrowbone Ridge Road in Kermit, WV — we think someone might have picked him up. He’s shy and may run if approached. DAY 7 — STILL MISSING Tomorrow makes a full week since our beloved Teapot went missing near Sturgell Cemetery / 100 Old Mountain Field Road, Kermit, WV. We had a hopeful lead at the Charleston shelter but sadly, he wasn’t there. We’ve checked shelters, rescues, vet offices, hung flyers throughout our community — and will continue to do so. I’m heartbroken to share that someone has torn down some of our flyers, a small set back. Teapot is a 5-year-old black and white Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix, ~30 lbs, green collar. Not great with kids, may run if chased and can be a very picky eater. Call or text 304-928-9519 any time — no questions asked. $500 reward for his safe return. Please continue to share — and if anyone has suggestions on where else to check, we’re listening.

Update – Still Missing Yesterday I called and/or visited shelters and vet offices in Logan, Mingo, Wayne, Cabell, and Kanawha counties. I also did the same in Pike and Floyd counties, attempted Johnson County (but their shelter address was a dead end and I haven’t been able to reach anyone by phone or online), and couldn’t find suggestions for Martin County. I’ve also tried several rescues but I’m not sure I have the right contact information. His flyer is posted on every community board I could find and throughout our neighborhood. Despite all of this, we still have no leads on Teapot — and it’s been incredibly hard. Teapot is a 5-year-old black and white Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix, ~30 lbs, wearing a green collar. STILL MISSING - We’re still searching for our Teapot, and while there’s no major update yet, we do have a possible lead at the Charleston Animal Shelter that we’re following up on today. We’ll also be checking with other shelters in the area. We can’t thank you all enough for the continued support, the shares, and for keeping an eye out. Every share and kind word keeps us hopeful and brings us one step closer to bringing Teapot home where he belongs. Please continue to share and spread the word. STILL MISSING – DAY 3 $500 REWARD – No Questions Asked Our dog Teapot has been missing since Sunday morning (7/6/25), last seen near Sturgell Cemetery / 100 Old Mountain Field Road in Kermit, WV. He’s a 5-year-old black and white Pekingese/Shih Tzu mix, about 30 lbs, wearing a green collar. He’s very sweet, but can be skittish and doesn’t do well with small children. Please don’t chase him — he may run if approached. If you’ve seen him or know anything, call or text 304-928-9519 — any time, day or night. We will come immediately. No questions asked. Teapot has never been gone this long before. He’s now due for his flea and tick , and he has a vet and grooming appointment coming up soon. We are incredibly thankful for the shares, support, and kind messages — but we still need help getting his photo in front of the right person. If someone picked him up thinking he was lost, please know — he is deeply loved and has a home waiting for him. The $500 reward is yours if you help bring him home safely — no questions asked. That money could help with school clothes, groceries, bills, or gas — we just want our dog back. And if you're lucky enough to have him nearby, please know a few things about him: *His favorite thing is riding shotgun in our ATV around the property *He loves watching TV, especially when animals are on *And if he lets you close, a scratch on his lower back will make his whole day.
