Description

Tabby, brown and black stripe

Message from Owner

Easter is missing and we’re beside ourselves with worry and grief. He’s a standard tabby, black and dark brown striped. He has a significant notch missing from his left ear and green eyes with brown splotches. Easter is incredibly friendly and loves going in stranger’s s and riding in vehicles. He’s a senior kitizen that lives off Dillard, down Eagle’s Aerie, at the bottom of Ridgetop (past South Hills, Hidden Meadows area) but it’s possible a visitor to our neighborhood thought he was a stray and scooped him up or he jumped in their car. If folks down in the area could check their grges, cars, and anywhere else a kitty could hunker down or go to when injured, we would appreciate it. Please ask delivery drivers if they’ve had any hitchhikers (he’s been known to get in delivery vans) if you think to. He is neutered and microchipped with up-to-date info. Easter is a cherished member of our neighborhood and he’s been missing for a whole week now. He’s escaped before and not gone far and we are so upset he hasn’t been found yet. It is absolutely possible he’s met a warrior’s end at the hands of coyotes but just in case someone unexpectedly let him in or picked him up thinking he was stray or has seen a body, we would sure like to know. I’m attaching a few photos of Easter, they are older shots but he still looks relatively the same except his eyes now have brown blotches in them due to his age. Please let me know if you have any news—good or bad—and keep an eye out for him. Thank you so much for your time.

Search at night with a flashlight (eyes will glow) up in trees and inside and under things on your property and up to three or four houses away. Cats normally stay pretty close to home. You can put something with the smell of the cat, or the scent of home, out on the porch. Put up missing cat posters, check with your neighbors, post on all local social media groups, and check with animal control every week. Leave your garage door up enough to allow the cat entry. You can also try searching early morning, before dawn, calling his/her name and carrying and open can of tuna or cat food. Hunger sometimes lures them out of hiding. Don't forget to check places like crawl spaces, garages, and sheds.
