Description

Tabby/ domestic short hair grey/ black striped with little white on his chin and his face is more swollen bigger now that he’s been outside last I saw him and couldn’t reach him from hiding underneath the cars in the parking lot at night. Chuckie was born outside and after his mom was ran over sadly, I kept feeding him until I could catch him.. I ve had Chuckie for 2 , 5 years until last year he got out as I was letting my dog out.. he has returned and was difficult to catch or to bring inside .. I haven’t seen him in a while, my daughter in law either and am hoping he’s okay and can be caught so I can bring him . I’ve moved to Severn but have my daughter in law put food and water out still hoping… I did try and trap him but caught 2 neighbors cats and let them loose of coarse.. my Chuckie is a wonderful tabby and is from Arbutus around chapel Sq. Fernley square off Courtney rd so I’m hoping he’s still coming around so I can try and get him to come . thank you, hoping still, thank you, Christine F.

Message from Owner

My chuckie got out as I was taking my dog out and after searching for 4 weeks I saw him on the front steps feeding on the food and water I left out every night. This was after 12 midnight.. I opened the door and he would run off..I saved chuckie from outside as his mom was a stray and chuckie was caught, I had him vetted , all shots but chuckie was not microchipped yet as his neuter appt was already scheduled and he bolted out the door 2 weeks prior.. chuckie is skittish but lovable, he doesn’t let strangers pick him up but will let you pet him after he’s comfortable.. I’ve already had him on missing pet sites for awhile but since I actually saw him returning at nights to eat I knew he was around, I could not catch him .. I haven’t seen him for awhile now and it’s been about 4 months since my daughter in law has seen him either , who lives in the area.. I thought about putting a trap out but there are other cats in the neighborhood that feed off the food we put out.. I’ve moved to Severn, Md recently but have my daughter in law still put food and water out hoping chuckie will want to come inside , especially since it’s getting cold.. ( he was born outside in the area by the maintenance dumpsters and I fed him for months before I could catch him)) I’m still hoping he’ll be seen or captured as I get tons of hits about tabby’s but there not him… chuckies now 3.5 years old… I lived with my daughter in law on chapel square. And I lived in fernley sq. In arbutus/ Halethorpe and that’s where chuckie was born and from . I’m hoping he’s okay and someone’s kind to him or he’s found , please reach out and I’ll stop by and see if it’s him and bring him . I’m truly hopeful, thank you.. Christine F.

You should continue to always check the animal shelters and near your home. Cats go into survival mode and will hide under porches or decks. There could be some one nearby and your community feeding it. But definitely check the shelters every other day and their websites 🙏🙏

I wrote this and typed it up. I personally have used most of the suggestions in my own kitties' missing events over the years. Hoping that your furry member of the family doesn't stay lost. *please feel to share!! VB It is said that most lost cats don't go very far from home. Here are some tips that might help you to locate your kitty. Make a flyer with a good picture of your cat. Post all over your neighborhood, and the surrounding neighborhoods. And post in nearby Veterinary Practices. Talk to every delivery carrier which serves your neighborhood, UPS, FedEx, Prime, US Postal Service, etc, and any other regular service (such as delivery pizza, etc). Flyers will hopefully develop sightings, and that will help, too. Talk to every neighbor and give them a flyer. Ask them to look in window wells, crawl spaces, in every garage, in lawn buildings and sheds, under all covered equipment like furniture, and grills, and under any covered vehicles. Put food out near your home. Perhaps have some socks with your scent nearby. **A recent personal experience with this in our family helped also reinforce the usefulness of very late at night, and very EARLY in the morning, walking all over your neighborhood with a good flashlight and *SOFTLY* calling your kitty's name. Look in storm drains, under bushes, etc. Not really easy to do, but with almost no traffic, you might hear/ and be heard. There are animal trackers, and social media, and your local animal shelter. Go in person to look at their found animals! Many posts of both LOST and FOUND have no photo! GOOD LUCK!
