Year and half old Grey tabby cat with distinct black nose

Message from Owner

My Grabdma’s cat Missy got out on Oct 16th and she is missing her terribly. She has a distinct black nose. They found her breakaway collar across the street in a neighbor’s driveway, so she is no longer wearing that. She is VERY skiddish and will run and hide, so please do not try to approach her. If you see her, please reach out on here. However she is microchipped, so if she were able to be caught, there’s that. We think something scared her and that she may be stuck in someone’s garage or shed in the area. Please be on the look out and let me know if you have seen her!

Please file a missing cat report with Norfolk animal control. Since she has chipped to make sure the registry has your correct contact information. Check the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard softly, calling your cat name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Print flyers with your cats picture in your contact information and take around to your neighbors asking them to call you if they see her. Also asked him if they’ve been in their shed. Outbuilding our garage since Missy went missing. Cats will go in those places to hide and cannot get out when the door is closed. You cannot hear cat crying to get out of a structure unless you’re standing right beside it. Look under porches, decks, and any structure with an open crawlspace. Don’t give up hope cats have been known to reappear after days weeks months and even years. It’s possible someone in the neighborhood thought she was a stray😮 and took her in as an indoor cat. Hopefully she will get out of that home and come back to you.
