I’m so sorry. This is not the time of year to let out a cat especially if it’s black. There are a multitude of awful evil people out there!

Check and Post on Pawboost, Idaho Humane Society, and Facebook 208 Lost and Found Pets. Go out after dark with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call their name and shake a bag of cat treats. If you have a garage, raise the door just enough for them to crawl under. Leave some bedding and/toys in the garage. Post flyers with their picture and contact information at the entrances into and out of the neighborhood. If you just moved, your cat may be trying to find their way back home... your former residence. Best Wishes
