Chris Gilmore hi! i already posted on nextdoor and have been checking on facebook groups as well. i have the cat in my possession at the moment. the shelter did not find a microchip unfortunately :(

If you haven’t already, please post on Nextdoor, the Ring app, Felines 209 (there is a duplicate group so make sure you are posting to the Felines 209 group with 25k+ members), and file a "found" report on 24Petconnect (they will notify shelters in the area) to cover all your bases as not everyone is on social media. Talk to your neighbors to see if they recognize the cat, and lastly, can you take the cat to a vet to see if it is microchipped? It is a free service. Please ask for proof of ownership if someone comes forward to claim cat. Thank you for rescuing this kitty. Are you able to secure the cat while looking for its owner so it is safe?
