Knock personally on all surrounding neighbours doors. Cats can travel quite far so you will need to consider all the roads around your property and a little bit beyond. Ask them to check their sheds and any outbuildings check their sheds/gardens. Leaflet the area with an a 1 mile radius with contact details and a photo . Flood the area with posters. Remember lots of people are not on social media sites.

LOST CAT ADVICE Put up posters and leaflet all neighbours to please OPEN sheds and garages for a little while in case he/she is trapped inside to give him/her chance to escape., put that he/she won’t just come out if called as will be too frightened (otherwise people don’t always check properly), put reward on your leaflets/posters if you feel you want to but don't say how much, keep sharing his/her picture, post on fb groups, vets and rescues etc...and someone will offer information or may have seen him/her, . Also tonight empty something from the vacuum outside and put his/her bedding on the line and he/she will smell the direction of home if he/she's just a bit lost. Also call him/her when its quiet/late as you walk BACK towards home, stopping and listening after each call so he/she could follow if they are nearby. Also check any nearby empty houses/allotments/cat hoarders/feeders/building sites etc…. Do also discreetly look in peoples windows and bedroom windows in case he/she has been taken in, it does happen. Search your garden and neighbours’ gardens regularly in case he/she is hiding under shrubs/hedges and inside and under sheds, they do this if they are injured as they often lie low for a while. If your pet is Microchipped, do inform the microchipping company that they are missing. Also make sure your details are up to date. If you can’t remember which company they are registered with, you can find out if you have their microchip number, http://www.check-a-chip.co.uk/ If your cat isn't chipped then please contact all vets and rescues, as if handed in you won't be reunited. Handing missing posters into the vets will inform the vet but customers will also see the posters. Also, If your pet is insured, the insurance may cover advertising and reward costs and even a search –contact animalsearchuk for more details. Also check/register on animalsearchuk.co.uk check Gumtree, (lost and found and also the ones for sale), nationalpetregister.org, all local vets/rescues etc.. rspca , Check Catchat.org and select your area to get a list of all local rescues to contact and post on local facebook selling and lost and found sites, and, as sad as it may be, you may have to check with your Local Council. Find a vets near you. UK Veterinary Surgery Web Sites. Please follow this advice asap really hope your cat comes home soon safe and sound x Try to search by thinking of your home as centre of a circle and call your cat from the edges. Call, listen carefully, rattle treats etc, then move slowly towards home, stop, repeat, and do this several times until you're home. This could guide your cat back in the right direction. Take a strong torch and check carefully under hedges etc. Door knock with leaflets during the day and check sheds etc, empty buildings yourself as your cat should come to you. ALWAYS CHECK SHEDS, BUSHES, GARDENS, YARDS ETC YOURSELF. Your cat may hide from others.
