ask neighbours if you can check their garages & sheds. i have found several of my cats over the years not more than 5 houses away unintentionally locked in sheds & garahes. Good luck !!

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.

Hoping you find this puss😕❤️ Go out looking for her/him at night when it’s quiet. Call and listen! for them to call back. Go down laneways etc too - they could be trapped in a garage, injured & hiding, scared… Knock on doors & talk to people on the street - they may know of her/him - someone may have taken them in. Ask neighbours to also check In their cars. My neighbour’s cat got into my car and was trapped for one very hot day😢. I only found him by chance … & if I hadn’t had to use my car … File a LOST report with Toronto/other Animal Services in case they end up there - continue to check their listings! Continue to call - they won’t necessarily call you. Also, check their ‘deceased animals’ listings 🥲 Consider setting a well-monitored live trap in your yard. He may be too scared to come out but may be able to be trapped. You may catch other critters that will need to be released. Don’t give up on her/him .🥰

A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as www.catsinthebag.org (Click on the link itself.) Get signs up and file a lost report with Toronto Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too. Share this in any local facebook groups you belong to, you can also post on the Nextdoor app; you enter your postal code where you are or were with your fur baby last so it attracts others for awareness in your area ❤️❤️❤️

Try putting out articles of clothing with familiar scents and do not put out litter it will attract predators

Go out around 2AM with smelly food or treats and call softly for him. Have neighbors check sheds and garages. Post lots of signs. Also a good idea to stick notes through your neighbour’s door or mailbox for them to check their properties.
