Rachel Chamberlain what street is Taffy missing from? Please be leery of any texts/msgs saying they have her - do not enter codes; do not click on links; do not send $$ - they are scams (as are comments telling you to reach out to on-line searchers/detectives/rescuers etc) - they do not have Taffy.

Rachel Chamberlain - send a p.m. to Ottawa and Valley Lost Pet Network and they will post for you; also post on Lost & Found Pets Of Ottawa And Surrounding Areas. I have shared to Next Level Neighbourly: Uplands/Mooney's Bay - comment on those posts so you can be tagged if Taffy is sighted/found.

@Rachel Chamberlain - Have you filed a lost report with OHS (can do on-line)? If she is microchipped contact the chip company to list as missing and to ensure your contact info is up to date. Put her carrier outside along with something with your scent on it. Cats don't generally travel far and are usually found hiding 7-10 houses away - take a flyer with note door-to-door asking neighbours to check their sheds/garages/under decks and door cams. Posters up for blocks in every direction as many people are not on social media. Use a flashlight to check under porches/decks/covered BBQs/bushes and up in trees her eyes will reflect in the light. Leave your door open slightly (secure any other pets in a room) as she may walk herself home/in. When searching/calling, only call when walking homeward so she doesn't follow you further away; when at home call every 10-15 minutes.

Search at dusk or early evening using a flash light. That will reflect her eyes. Lost cats don't go far from home. Think like a cat...look where a cat might hide, in, under, and behind things. Put out some unwashed laundry so she can get your scent and find her way home. Go door to door and ask neighbours to check their yards and sheds. Put up posters in your neighbourhood and at your local vets' offices and animal hospitals. Often people who find lost animals take them to a vet to be checked for a microchip. Also post on Ottawa and Valley Lost Pet Network and other lost pet sites. I'll pray she gets home safely and soon.

Put in a lost report to OHS a s.a.p. if someone puts in a found report or brings her in they'll make the match. No report, no match and they could adopt her out to someone else in as little as 3 days of receiving her. It's a space issue. Act quickly!
