Is your niece following these directions still ?? - WET FOOD with camera aimed before each sunset?- it've reunited MANY cats lost in remote locations doing exactly this consistently where they jumped out of car windows ...once seen on camera eating THEN plan to humanely trap - have balnket ready to cover the entire trap within seconds of kitty being trapped. AGAIN this is AFTER kitty is seen on camera eating the food your neice is putting out nightly behind the safeway (hidden from obvious view of humans)

Check in bushes and under cars near your home, and on the next street over, especially in the evening with a flashlight, calling out to him and making a familiar sound. Ask neighbors if they might have seen him, and when they last did and which direction he headed if they have. If they have security cameras, video footage would help. Ask them if he might be trapped in their garage or shed. I hope he is found soon🙏🏻
