1. Borrow a cat trap from Safe Haven For Cats and bait with canned mackerel. Cats get spooked and won’t come but hunger trumps the fear . 2. If chipped be sure it’s current 3. Join Next Door 4. Post flyers 5. Check shelter in person every day or two . Alert them your cat is missing 6. Look under houses , porches and bushes 7. Look in trees, sheds, garages, drain pipes and sewers - cats are close to home hiding or stuck 8. Indoor cats 3-7 houses 50 yards - outdoor cats within 17 houses 345 yards
