Message from Owner

The owner of the cat past and the family could not keep the cat. We’ve know the cat for about 7 years and we use to pet the cat when it came over and feed it sometimes we fell in ❤️ with this cat. When it got wet it wanted to be wiped down and it wanted to be petted all the time. Thank you

Post on NextDoor and neighbors.ring, hang bilingual flyers, and put out articles of unwashed clothing and the pet’s bed. Ask neighbors to check their Ring cameras, garages, and sheds. Check shelters in person. If not already done, have your pet microchipped as soon as you’re reunited. If already chipped, call the microchip company to report pet lost and make sure your contact information is correct. Report lost on 24petconnect. Keep indoors when you’re reunited. If someone posts “We found” and asks for your phone number, don’t respond; it’s a scam. Same if they want to send you a code. Beware of sites people recommend that find lost pets; many are scammers

Post on Nextdoor.com, ring.com and in Lost and Found PETS of SE Florida - Broward, Dade & Palm Beach County's and Lost Pets of Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties. Contact Broward County Animal Care and your local Police Department's Animal Services and report it lost and post fliers in your neighborhood on all major intersections, supermarkets, pet stores and veterinary offices. Report it lost to the county. You can do it online at www.24petconnect.com or by emailing ACADFoundPets@Broward.org. Go to the shelter in person and check their website daily for new intakes. Let all your neighbors know it's missing and ask them to check their garages and sheds. Cats often hide during the day. At dusk and dawn walk around the neighborhood, shake a container with treats and call its name. Take a flashlight and look in bushes and hiding places. Post in Broward Community Cats - TNR and Feral Cat Help Only if you need help with trapping it. Ask if there are feeders in your area who may have seen it. I hope you find him/her soon! https://www.broward.org/Animal/Pages/LostAndFound.aspx https://www.pawboost.com/blog/how-to-recognize-and-avoid-the-lost-pet-scam/?utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=organic

The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. They have to use their sense of smell to get home again. Put anything outside that smells like their territory. Put the pajamas you slept in outside because you probably sweated in them. Put out their food your stinky socks your smelly sneakers anything you can think of that the cat will recognize by smell. Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week or so sleeping in the bushes during the day and coming out at dusk and dawn. Those are good times to take a walk shaking the treat bag calling out but cats also tend to come out and walk around very late at night. Try to keep a door cracked if you can whether it's the garage or whatever or a window cracked so you can hear them if they call out for you. Put this on all of the neighborhood pages as well as lost and found pets sites. Knock on the neighbors doors and make sure they know you're looking for your cat. Good luck PS cats can smell up to one mile away from their own house. Absolutely no litterbox outside or food. It attracts predators is why. Never give up.
