Indoor cats don't usually wander far when they escape outside. Instead, they usually hide during the day. Walk around at night calling their name. It's also a great time to meet your neighbors. Some kind-hearted people take in stray cats to help them, not knowing that an owner is actively looking for them. Most importantly, visit your nearest animal shelter IN PERSON (very important). Some people take "stray" cats to the shelter immediately (they don't post online). Shelters have been known to adopt out friendly cats immediately. They NEED to know that your cat is missing. Also, check your attic, shed, and garage.... and your neighbors sheds. When my Dad's cat got out, we set up a trail cam on his porch. We learned that his cat would come up and sleep on the porch every night at around 10:00pm, waiting to be let in. But then he would leave. So the next night we waited and caught him. So, they are very much evening creatures. When you do get your cat back, please please seriously consider getting them microchipped (if they aren't already). Think of it as Lo-Jack for cats. It's almost a virtual guarantee of getting them back if anybody ever takes them to the vet or animal shelter. If your contact data is out of date, this is another reason for you to personally visit the shelter.

Hope Reh a few hundred feet at best is as far as they can reasonably smell, unless it's a cat in heat.

Put his bedding and dirty clothes outside and dirtier the better.Even hang it out side they can smell it for miles.put your dirty coat outside and they stay close to your house because they are scared to be outside and hiding in the shrubs and hedges Look for him in the evening softly calling his name with a flash light and don't give up this is how we got our cat back after 3weeks with the help of our vet. WARNING IF YOU LIVE OUT OF THE ENTER CITY YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE LITTER BOX 24 7 FOR OTHER ANIMALS AND PREDATORS ALL THE TIME please Put his toys and bedding and cat tree on the porch and water and food and your dirty coat outside and check all the shelters close to you in person every few days Ask your neighbor if you can ck their garage and sheds and gutters and on the roofs. Take your dirty vacuum bag and shake it all around your property they can smell it for miles.

She is very pretty get some treats or a can of tuna and a flashlight when it gets dusk and go out looking all around your house and your neighbor’s house a couple of down both sides in the bushes and see if you can find her then buy her a collar and some tags
