Description

His belly is all white. He has patches of black/grey/tan running up his back, ears and around his eyes. I have him groomed at Houndstooth in Milan Ohio by Gabby, so his hair is just starting to get long again. His last weight was 18 pounds.

Message from Owner

He was a stray when I found him about 8 years ago. He has been strictly inside cat since. He has came by the hse a couple times but runs as soon as someone gets close to him. We are so confused as to why as he has always been loved and taken care of. We believe he is hiding in the woods between our hse and Alpine Drive. We also saw him run into a barn/shed so he might be in someone's shed. We have a live trap if anyone sees him. If he is hanging around someone's hse, they can use our trap to help us catch him. If anyone knows anything about him, please let us know. Not knowing is the worse.

Marlene Bardon Nice thank you so much. I did put a little box out and have been using tuna and sardines. I will for sure add some clothing that has our scent. I purchased a live trap but have caught only possums so far. Go figure. We are praying he comes back soon. So worried about him. Especially with the cooler temps starting.

I would put the cat's litter box outside, under cover, along with some really smelly cat food and some clothes you wore recently to attract the cat. Keep an eye on it. Some people say not to put the box/food out because it might attract predators. I have known it to work. Check carefully around the outside of your house and your neighbors’ houses. Cats don't usually go far initially and they can tuck themselves into unbelievably small and unusual spaces. One person found her cat hiding in the grill on her patio after searching for three days. Go out late at night when it's quiet and call the cat softly. Make large, easily read flyers and post them around your neighborhood with the cat’s picture and your contact info. Post a lost ad on pawboost.com. Ask your neighbors to check garages, sheds, under decks - anywhere a cat can hide and get shut in. Borrow a trap from a shelter or vet. Don’t give up. Good luck!
