For Mill's people: You have likely done this already but if not, please post flyers in the area where Mill went missing, and knock on doors. Not everyone is on social media. You might also ask folks to check their security monitors... Might capture something useful in the footage. Also remember to check the Pawboost FOUND listings, and with local animal shelters. And phone to ask their current protocols. I have heard that visiting in person to review their intake logs is the best way to get accurate information. You might consider posting to Nextdoor as well. I hope to read a positive update on Mill soon.

Post to Nextdoor Check shelter website 24petconnect .com City of San Jose Animal Care & Services Help your pet smell their way home ~ take an unwashed article of the OWNER’S clothing (socks, sheet, underwear) and hang it in a tree, on a fence, a pole or edge of roof and put an article of unwashed clothing on the ground below. The wind will carry the scent. If there is another dog in the home take that dog's fresh poop and rub it on a rag and hang it high. Open your gates and/or the garage door, and turn on all the lights. Put a rug or towel on the porch with a bowl of water. Do not put the dog's bed or the dog's toys outside. The only scent we want is from the owners. Please do this ASAP. A dog can find its way back from miles by following a scent as they don't operate like humans on sight or sound. Put up flyers with large photo of your dog with legible phone number.

Post on Nexdoor and Ring for people not on FB. Report to shelter as lost and check in person, place lots of unwashed items of clothing with strong familiar scent outside your door area and hanging from a tree to attract pup back home dogs can follow the scent from far away. Ask neighbors to check security cameras footage perhaps something useful was caught on video. If chipped call chip company , check with homeless people some like to keep stray dogs others might help find offering a reward. Hang flyers all over. If neutered more chances of getting him back. Hope pup is found safe.
