Message from Finder

hi everyone! I pulled into work this morning at tgh urgent care on 4th street in st pete, and this baby was waiting in the parking lot. she ran right up to me, meowing and purring and rubbing on me for pets. i took her to beacon emergency vet down the road and they scanned her and found she has a microchip and that her name is cookie! beacon isn’t supposed to keep cats like that, they gave me 4 places to take her to i tried 3/4 wouldn’t and the 4th didn’t open until 11 and I had to get to work so they took her for now, and will try to get in touch with the owner throughout the day! hopefully they can reach her owner because she is such a sweet baby! if anyone is missing a tortie cat named cookie around 4th street in st pete please comment and share!

Well thank you for taking her in and checking for a microchip yes it's right a lot of the facilities can't keep these cats however unless you're going to keep the cat and then the owner has to be contacted through beacon they won't give you that information directly and I don't know why because I have three cats with microchips however with that being said if you want to take the cat to the Pinellas County Animal Services they will show pictures of this cat not only through this website but through their own and they have a name and they will contact the owners and at least this way you know that the cat is safe because they have an owner they are right up there on the top of the list of protection well all the animals are protected but yeah that's what you can do as well.
